Any spread betting punters that have bought Manchester City's outright index will have been absolutely thirlled to see the 6-1 scoreline at Old Trafford on Sunday. Spread punters that bought goals for the derby will have also made a decent return, while the total goal minutes reached a staggering 501 points.
After a month of exhilarating rugby action there are only four nations remaining and spread bettors can look forward to another pulsating weekend when Wales take on France and New Zealand meet Australia.
Now the group games are done and dusted, spread bettors can look forward to some mouth-watering match-ups at the quarter-final stage of the World Cup in New Zealand. Spread bettors everywhere will have now heard the news that the All Blacks' mercurial fly-half, Dan Carter, has been ruled out of the tournament and the host's outright index is 82-85 points.

Spread bettors will be counting down the days until the start of the new season following a summer without any major football. Last year's season was tipped to be one of the most competitive for a while, but spread punters might well argue that this one looks to be even more so.
As the excitement builds around England's fascinating Test series against India, spread bettors up and down the country will be frantically checking the weather forecast. Spread punters may recall that Sri Lanka's recent Test tour was constantly affected by rain and the Three Lions did well to win 1-0. That narrow victory will have given plenty of encouragement to those buying England's win index for the opening Test against the world number one side at Lord's.
Not many golf courses can claim to have been immortalised in a popular work of fiction, but one that can is Royal St. George's, Sandwich. Under the alias of St. Mark's, Ian Fleming chose this seaside venue as the location for the match between James Bond and sinister baddie Auric Goldfinger.
Thursday 30th June Not a huge amount to report on the punting front as I spent most of the day in London – I was having lunch with Wally Pyrah during the first women's semi-final and opted to leave the second one alone. I'm convinced that Sharapova is going to win it so there is no real point in getting involved. Wally told me that he is upping sticks to move to Hong Kong in August to become the face (more realistically the arse) of the Jockey Club there.
