What's So Good About The Henry Vacuum Cleaner?

Many people are familiar with the Henry vacuum cleaner.  The red body, black hat and smiling face are hard not to notice and hard not to forget.  In fact, the Henry doesn't look much like a traditional vacuum cleaner at all.

Many Henry owners would also say that the Henry doesn't work much like other vacuum cleaners either.  And that's because the Henry vacuum cleaner's performance is stunningly good and much better than many of the big, name brands.

Henry vacuums are made in England, UK, by Numatic.  They're made out of tough, hard-wearing plastic and are built to last.  I've had one for 5 years and it's as good as new despite having had many knocks which would have left many other vacuums broken or cracked.

A particularly nice feature is the automatic cable rewind system;  or should I say lack of such a system.  The first thing that breaks on many vacuum cleaners is often the cable rewind so Henry does away with this in favour of a manual system.  You simply turn the reassuringly solid handle on the lid to wind the cable in.  Nothing to go wrong, and nothing does go wrong.

They're quiet too, even on the higher setting of the two-speed motor.  One the new Henry models the lower power setting is automatically engaged when you switch on, to conserve energy, but you can switch in the high setting whenever you need it.

All this wouldn't be a lot of use if Henry couldn't suck;  he is a vacuum cleaner after all.  I can honestly say that this is the only vacuum cleaner that I've been consistently very happy with.  The suction power really is incredible, and it doesn't let up even when the bag is getting full.

If you're after a vacuum that actually does what it's supposed to do, and does it really well, and lasts for years, the Henry vacuum cleaner is worth checking out.
