Looking for a prevention method for acne will solve most of your health problems. Your skin will be blemish free and you would feel special and blessed. A blemish starts forming at least two to three weeks prior to appearing on the surface of the skin. Hence, you may not be able to notice any improvements for one month.

Here are some of the best acne prevention methods you can follow as a skin regime.

- Wash your face

It is important to keep your face clean. Wash it daily with a mild cleanser. This will keep your skin free of impurities and blemishes. It will also help in unclogging of pores.

- Use a gentle cleanser

Using the right kind of product is really important. Go for a mild cleanser to wash face. You may also go for an exfoliation. However, you must avoid scrubbing your face as it will make your acne appear worse.

- Go for a prescription soap

Speak to your dermatologist about the kind of cleanse you must use. Buy one that suits your skin type.

- Wash your face the right way

Patients should take special care to wash their face under the jaw to the hairline. Make sure that you rinse your skin thoroughly after washing it.

- Avoid using astringents

Don’t use astringents unless your skin is very oily. If you must use an astringent, use it only on the spot where the skin is very oily.

- Shampoo your hair

It is important to keep your hair clean. If your hair is oily, make sure that you wash it everyday with a good shampoo.

- Wash your towels and pillow cases

You must keep your towels and pillow cases squeaky clean. This will keep the bacteria off the cloth and your skin blemish free.

- Exercise regularly

- Have a bath after exercise

- Style your hair

- Clean cosmetic brushes

It is important to regularly clean cosmetic brushes in warm soapy water.

- A healthy diet

Have a lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet. It will help you maintain healthy skin.

- Avoid direct heat or cold

Don’t expose your skin to too much sunlight, heat or cold. Some of the acne medications may also make the skin very sensitive to light. Make sure that you wear an SPF sunscreen when the skin is exposed to light.

- Drink a lot of water

You should drink at least eight glasses of water on a daily basis to detoxify the body from the inside.

- Don’t touch the affected skin

Don’t rub or touch the affected area. It is important to keep your hands off the skin lesions to prevent the problem from worsening.

- Oil free cosmetics

Choose cosmetics carefully. Make sure that all your cosmetics such as foundation, eye shadow, blush and moisturizers are oil free.
