Benefits of Weight Loss Pills and How Do They Work?

Obesity today is a major problem faced by United States of America; this problem of obesity has spread its tentacles not only in the developed countries but also in the developing countries. Rise in obesity has caused various health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, as well as heart ailments stomach disorders etc.

The reason for obesity is the life style of the people, i.e. eating junk food, little or no exercise at all. The first thing that an obese person should do is change the lifestyle i.e. to eat nutritious food like vegetables, fruits, cereals etc rather than eat junk food and exercise regularly. Taking the help of a dietician who will guide you what to eat when and how much you can lose weight. But in spite of all the diets if there is no weight loss you can opt for surgery.

But then some people want to lose weight without sacrificing the food habits or going under the table then there are diet pills.

What are these diet pills?

Weight loss diet pills are appetite suppressants containing phenyl pro panolamine and caffeine pills. The theory on which these diet pills are based is that they either help you lose weight or they help you control hunger. These pills are so designed as to help you lose weight without changing your life style.

Where do you buy them?

Doctors prescribe diet pills but then today Internet pharmacies sell these diet pills through these networks. These diet pills help you lose weight without changing your lifestyle. Anti obesity drugs can be bought from the market but then do not buy these without the prescription of the doctor.

Do they work?

These diet pills may work for some and may not work for some, it all depends on the body chemistry. Diet pills should be taken for at least six month to give the required effect of weight loss, but by then your body will become resistant and these pills will be rendered useless, these pills are not permanent solutions for weight loss.

Side Effects?

The drug companies do claim that there are no side effects but then these drugs do interfere with the activities of the brain resulting in high blood pressure, chest pain, fever, depression, heart problems, anxiety, headaches etc.

Some licensed drugs like Xenical have shown side effects like diarrhea, oily stools and unexpected fecal discharge after a prolonged usage. Phen/Fen increases the risk of heart attacks while there are other pills like Caffeine pills or Ephedrine Hydrochloride, which should never be taken because they are used to treat asthma, allergies, hay fever and bronchial dilation. Some laxatives that are used for weight loss are associated with cancer.

These diet pills can be effective only under proper medical supervision, a proper diet and exercise regime, these diet pills are for short-term use only and if you want to live a happy and a healthy life without any side effects.
