Teenagers and adults alike, may be inflicted at random, although heredity, may seem to also play a role. There are numerous explanations, as to the causes of acne. Many case studies may be found in numerous, respectable medical publications. There are also a host of myths and accompanying misconceptions doing the rounds. However, one thing all these publications, have in common, is the general type of treatment.
These include topical creams, such as Benzaclin, Klaron and Azelex, as well Tretinoin and Adapalene, to name but a few. These creams are helpful for clearing blocked pores. Some of these substances may have unfavorable side effects and should therefore, only be used on the recommendation and guidance of a qualified dermatologist. All of these treatments, have one other thing in common. Apparently, to have maximum effect, it is recommended that it be used, in conjunction with some of the other, forms of treatment. Also, it will not cure your acne, merely control it. So you’ll have to stay on the program, indefinitely, it seems.
