Acne is a condition, which everybody at least once in their life gets. Even after acne leaves, the horrible acne scars remain. It is not always possible to avoid being affected by acne because some causes are beyond your control. But there are some simple steps you can take in order to reduce the risk of acne.

1. Certain essential oils can greatly help to lighten acne scars. Rose hip oil has many benefits. To use it to get rid of acne scars naturally, mix rose hip oil, lavender oil and jojoba oil in a 2:2:10 ratio, then apply this essential oils mix twice a day. If you have any acne skin infections you can also mix tea tree oil with jojoba oil in a 3:10 proportion, and use it.

2. You may not believe but even changing your pillowcase is one of the effective acne tips and tricks. The reason? The pillowcase may harbor oil and bacteria and sleeping on the same side of the pillowcase every night may worsen your acne. So, every four nights, use different sides of the pillowcase and get it washed.

3. Do not eat junk foods and greasy foods. This simple treatment works best if you are abstaining from bad foods altogether. Change your bad foods with healthier foods such as fruits and vegetables.

4. Keep your face clean without going overboard. Wash your face in the morning when you get up and again before you go to bed. Washing your face more than this can cause your skin to dry out and become irritated, causing acne. Rinse your face if you are sweaty from exercise or if it's a hot day.

5. Aloe gel is also popular as natural cures for acne scars. To use aloe vera gel for acne scars, cut a fresh aloe gel leaf lengthwise and scoop out the gel using a spoon. Then apply this gel twice a day to the affected area. You can store this gel in an air-tight container and preserve it for few days too.

6. Drink plenty of water. This is important to keep your body hydrated. When you have enough water, your body will perform better. It can easily clean toxins in your blood and other body organs. Water can help you to cure acne fast.

7. Add exercise to your recipe to help you avoid acne. Exercise improves circulation. If you exercise regularly, your skin will receive an improved flow of blood, for healthy skin. Do not forget to wash yourself after exercise or after any event which makes you perspire. Ignoring this may allow the bacteria to grow in the warm and moist environment in your skin. So get yourself cleansed whenever you sweat.

8. Tomato peel is one of the best way to get rid of acne scars and tanned skin too. Before taking a bath everyday, rub tomato peel for few minutes to the acne scarred areas and then wash the area clean.
