How To Stop Adult Cystic Acne?

Posted: May 17, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

Cystic acne is rarer than other types but still it is fairly common. If you have cystic acne, then you'll know that it can be quite painful, with cysts on the face and often dark spots.

To combat this embarrassment, many medical companies are offering different solutions for curing adult cystic acne. While some of the acne treatment methods are natural, there are certain treatments which can only be described by a doctor. If you are suffering from adult cystic acne, you need to get treatment as soon as possible so that the pustules under your skin will do not get worse and causing the bacteria to spread further into the skin.

So how to stop cystic acne? Consider the following:

1. It is better not to try to pop the pimples of cystic acne, especially when they are deep. You will often fail to extract the pus, making the cyst look worse and probably creating a bigger scar.

2. Start eating more fruits and vegetables – fruits and vegetables are cleansing foods that will cleanse and get rid of toxins in your system (thus, preventing acne). So try eating more fruits and vegetables every day.

3. Vitamin A is found in many fresh raw fruits and vegetables including most of the ones that are colored red, orange and yellow – for example, carrots. Increasing these in the diet may help to prevent future breakouts.

4. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of purified water a day. Water is extremely important in the detoxifying process. It acts as a catalyst to move acids out of the body. As a matter of fact, water is quite possibly the single most important contributor to healing and preventing acne flare-ups.

5. Keep your skin clean – I highly recommend you gently wash your face with mild soap at least once a day. Especially at night right before you go to sleep.

If you're suffering from an outbreak, there are certain types of adult cystic acne treatments which you can use topically to stop them. Topical antibiotics are quite effective at killing the bacteria that cause the pustules. These products can act very fast to clear up cysts and prevent scarring if taken quickly enough. Consult with your dermatologist or doctor to find the best product for your acne.
