Natural Home Cures For Acne

Although a lot of people might think that acne is cause by having oily skin or maybe something to do with hormones. It could actually be your body trying to tell you that something is not right. You might want to consider the possibility that it is the symptom of the disease. In order for you to get rid of your acne, you are going to need to bring your body back into balance so you can cure it from the inside out.

You need to clean your face between two and three times per day. You will want to make sure that you are using a mild cleansing soap and that you are not using anything that has harsh chemicals in it. Make sure that you scrub your face with an exfoliating pad or washcloth. If you rub too hard you might make things worse by stripping skin of healthy natural oils.

A couple of things you can do right now is change your diet. I want you to stop eating all the fried foods and the greasy pizza. You need to start putting fruits and vegetables in your diet. Also, i want you to drink more water than you do now. Most people do not drink enough water daily. You should be drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water during the day. Another thing you can do is when you dry off, pat yourself dry if you have bad acne. This will keep you from getting scars.

Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple and hold it there for about 2 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and redness and help shrink the inflammation and pain that sometimes comes along with it.

If you're in need of a quick fix, a dab of toothpaste on the affected area right before bed can help soothe irritation and reduce redness. Pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five minutes can also reduce swelling and redness.

Drink plenty of water: drink at least 8 glasses of water per day in order to maintain the skin's elasticity and suppleness. Water can also help your body get rid of toxins.  Another thing you need to do is to stay away from junk food. This type of food contains many toxins and additives and can harm your skin.

Apply a cream or ointment that contains benzyl peroxide or salicylic acid to the blemish. These ingredients are available in creams that are sold in the store as well. If you have extremely oily skin then you will want to apply this cream all over your entire face.

Try to detoxify your body by reducing stress and following a healthy diet. Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits (preferably organic) and take a multi-vitamin daily to boost the function of your immune system.
