Drug Treatment Centers and 12 Step Meetings

Drug Treatment Centers or alcohol treatment centers are available for people who are not able to stop using drugs and alcohol. Treatment Centers have been established to aid and assist people who need to get clean, learn about why they use, and develop tools or coping skills to remain free from active using. Some drug rehabs use different methods or therapies but the concept remains the same. They help people find out why out use and teach them how not to use every again. They are also a catalyst for emotional healing to begin.

Most drug treatment centers or alcohol treatment center range from 28 to 90 days but there are extended care facilities and programs that range from 90 to 180 days. Most drug rehabs take insurance which helps cover the costs of treatment or self pay rate may be from $6,000 to $30,000 per month.

The Recovery Process

If someone is using drug or drinking alcohol and is unable to stop using, an intervention may be needed to help the family get the drug addict or alcoholic into drug or alcohol rehab. An interventionist such as the qualified team found at Interventions Services, Inc will help the family organize a successful intervention and place the drug addict or alcoholic into a drug and alcohol treatment center or detox center based on medical necessity.

From this point, the treatment center professionals will take over and help the addict or alcoholic. In Delray Beach, Florida, the Transformations Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center is available to those who are struggling with addictions to drug and alcohol. This drug rehab program is an inpatient rehabilitation program that offers its clients treatment programs that range from thirty days to ninety days depending on the depth of their struggles. The alcohol and drug addiction recovery program at the Transformations Center also offers a faith-based treatment program to those clients who prefer to work the twelve steps and study scriptures in a safe and secure environment.

After drug and alcohol treatment, it is recommended that the addict or alcoholic attend outpatient therapy at least 3 days per week and continue to see his or her primary therapist. This process should be at least 6 weeks and may take place while a person is in a halfway house house or from home. The entire process can be from 30 days to 6 months and it is important that a person gets as much treatment as possible before trying to just make it through 12 step meetings. If a person is able to go through this entire process from start to finish and go to 12 step meetings during and after the process, their chances of long term sobriety greatly increase.
