1- Don’t have business cards that blend with the crowd. Many business cards fail to strike an impression because they don’t have anything new to offer. If you want your business cards to be remembered, make sure that you provide something that looks and feels great, which clearly defines what you do.
2- Don’t print business cards that look like junk. Because your target clients will simply treat it the same way – as junk. Don’t skimp on your business cards. A poorly done business card printing says only one thing: it’s the same way you conduct business – very poorly and unprofessional.
3- Don’t keep secrets from your target audience. Avoid making it a mystery what you do exactly. When someone looks at your card, he or she should already identify what you can do. If he or she has a hard time making heads or tails of your business through your business cards, your recipient can just dismiss you right away and move on to other cards.
4- Don’t make it hard for your recipients to read your business card. Don’t overcrowd your cards with too many elements; and don’t use fonts that is clearly too small for anyone to decipher. The bottom line is to have your recipients know who you are from the information in your cards. They won’t be able to if you make it hard for them to read your information.
There are still many ways you can do to avoid getting lackluster results from your business cards. But to make a business card worth remembering, you have to put time and effort to the job. And your efforts will be rewarded by the number of leads that can be generated every time your recipients remember you and what you can do.
