Call-Centre Agents “High on the Hog? (Living in Luxury)”

It’s cold; all places are now surrounded of darkness. It was late at night, people outside started to shiver; most of the group were looking for places to warm them up. Some went to a coffee shop to sip even a single drop of coffee, while others just stayed at home celebrating Christmas with their friends, loved ones, and families sharing many delicious and mouth-watering foods served on the table and exchanging gifts after meal. They were all having fun spending their occasion the way they want it to be. Most of them are having a full blast before the day is over.  After, they are now preparing their selves to sleep, lying on bed with undoubtedly smile on their faces.

While on the other side of the world, some citizens have to wake up and prepare their selves to work. They are the “call centre agents: but I called them a.k.a “human bats,” night for them turns to morning. Most of them are working on the “graveyard shift” (working time is around 12am until to 8am).

Maybe a lot of people envied them. Who have not? As u have seen one of the call centre agent walking down the street, wearing beautiful branded clothes, having high-end things, and catching them in expensive coffee shop like “starbucks,” or hanging-out in some well-known bar and restaurant, for sure, they must earned a lot to afford those. We would think that it was really cool to be working in a place like that. Everything will be possible for us to buy anything we want, even help our family financially.

But behind, there were different stories u will discover. Like a mask hiding the truth face underneath. As u unveils it, there were words screaming out loud on their eyes!

What did I have in exchange of big amount of money? What it causes me having those fancy things? And what am I dealing mentally and emotionally?

I know, most of people thought they were lucky. But did they know that having those things means adopting new version of your life, creating world different from what they used to. They sacrifice time for their family and long term friendship. Healths were at risk because they didn’t manage to get enough sleep, and worst, being hold-up and killed on their way home.

Sometimes what we thought is not the way exactly it is. U have to look deeper within to see what was really in it.  Like a gift inside a box. Probably, u might think how beautiful or ugly the present was based on the wrapper, but as u open and see it with your naked eye; u will see and figure out its real content.
