Yes, although advertising professionals TRY to control all the elements, the forecast of snow and ice has forced the South Shore Ad Club to reschedule its Ground Hog's Day Expo to Tuesday, February 8 (the original date for the event was February 2).

The South Shore Ad Club is holding the expo to help businesses emerges from the snow and shadows.  The Advertising/Marketing Expo will be run from 8:30 - 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 929 Hingham Street (Route 228), Rockland.  This is a free event.

The Club is adding even more value to the event - many of the more than 45 booths will be offering a FREE Drawing as well as Door Prizes from the South Shore Ad Club!  All attendees will also receive a FREE mailing list of Plymouth County businesses (with 10 employees or more).  The mailing list will be emailed to all guests as an Excel spreadsheet.  The electronic file will allow guests to direct mail or telephone prospects in one of most vibrant business communities in the state.

The event kicks off with a complimentary Continental breakfast from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. The exhibit hall - featuring advertising service providers and other business services - will also open at 8:30 a.m.  More than 45 exhibitors will share the latest in advertising/marketing tools and techniques.

"The Ground Hog Day expo underscores the need for local businesses to come out of the snow and shadows and take a proactive approach," noted Steve Dubin, founder of the South Shore Ad Club, an organization that includes a wide range of advertising and marketing professionals.  He added, "Our intent is to act as a catalyst to business growth and to introduce them to a variety of marketing tools and resources to realize that vision."
