Hcg Diets: 10 Motivational Tips To Keep You On Track

The HCG diets are a strict weight loss plan that must be followed very carefully in order to enjoy the same rapid fat loss. When we get started with a new weight loss program such as the HCG diets, we tend to dive in with a lot of enthusiasm, which can wane in a week or so when we get bored. Then our body wants to go back to the old way of eating.

So, here are 10 motivational tips that you can use to help keep you on track when you are following the strict HCG diets:

  1. Create a non-food reward to give yourself for every five-pound weight loss milestone. The knowledge that you are working towards something that you really want aside from a more fit, healthy body can be just the thing that we need to push us when things start to get challenging.
  2. Come up with a major reward for when you achieve your goal weight. (Build in an incentive to maintain that weight loss for six months and then one year.) A vacation, a major appliance, a completely new wardrobe or whatever major item would inspire you will give you a bit of additional momentum to work towards your goal weight.
  3. Tack up motivational quotes on your refrigerator, bathroom and bedroom mirrors, the visor flap on your car, and around your office.
  4. Collect a few motivational videos from youtube.com or another video sharing site and watch them every day.
  5. Start your own weight loss blog or video blog to share your progress and get support.
  6. Join a weight loss support forum and participate. You could also join an in-person support group or even start one at your place of worship or work.
  7. Keep a log of your progress. Track your weigh-ins and use fat calipers to track fat loss.
  8. Gather a collection of HCG diets recipes and try a new one each day to combat boredom. Look for a special HCG diet plan recipe book that contains a nice variety of 'legal' recipes that comply with HCG diets restrictions.
  9. Listen to motivational messages on your .mp3 player.
  10. Plaster pictures of fit, healthy people on your fridge and the inside doors of your food cabinets.

Aside from following these motivational tips, consider working with a weight loss coach or counselor. If you have struggled with compulsive eating or any other eating disorder, the very low calorie requirements for HCG diets may stress your will power beyond your ability to withstand the temptation to indulge. Getting the support of a coach or counselor can help ensure your successful completion of the program.
