Are you ashamed to open your garage door to the neighborhood? Is is chuck full of junk, so much so that you are ashamed to open it. A garage should be more than a repository for all the stuff you don't want any more. This old table seems like is ought to be good for something and into the garage it goes.

It's alright to shove one old table in, but when that is followed by the old chair, end tables, old toys, old electronics, soon your garage is hideous and you are ashamed of it. Is your garage packed with all of that stuff and boxes, unknown boxes of stuff. Do you have to push aside old window screens to get out the lawn mower. Can you still park your car in your garage? Maybe it's time you got smart and organized your garage so it is a useful area again.

Do you think you can clear out enough stuff to be able to get your car into your garage again. It perhaps isn't a big deal in summer, but in the winter are you scraping ice off your windows every morning when your car could have been snug in your garage? How smart is that. This is one of the reasons your garage was built any way. Here are some ideas fro reclaiming your garage.

Is the purpose of your garage to hold your car, will it be a workshop or a workout area. Will it need to be used as storage for summer items like your lawnmower, bikes, or gardening tools? There is room for all of these things but you need to identify how you need to use the garage.

So, make a list of the things to go into your garage and begin to map it out on paper. Do you need shelves or wall pegs to help things work out.

Now set aside a time when you will begin with your garage and do it. Use the containers, shelves and wall pegs as you identified above and begin to actually do it, actually organize your garage.
