The best wind in Minnesota can be found in the southwest portion of the state and at the lake. In the southern portion of the state big wind farms have taken root. But in lake country there are virtually no wind turbines changing wind to electricity. Wind on lakes generally is more vibrant because lakes are not hindered by trees or geographical contours.
