A young lady with no insurance was driving a rental car in MI was in an accident, she also was not the authorized driver 21 years old. Does not have any insurance do not own a car in her state of GA. She was given a ticket and was told it was her fault she declares with everything in her she did not run a red light. Luckly she was not hurt and the driver of the other car was not injured as well. The damage was minimum front fender driver side and the hood some damage. Some damage to door but not much. One mistake no one took pictures but witnesses for her said the car look repairable. The police said he talked to witnesses but they were not recorded on the ticket that he gave to the young stating she was at fault. The main thing now is that the Rental Company said the car is totaled and we want proof pictures estimates ect. Because she doesn't have $14000 dollars to pay for that car. What can she do? The authorize driver wants her to pay him14000 to settle the claim.
