Some Tips For Reconciliation When You Want Your Husband Back
You have been trying everything you can think of to get him back but nothing is working. I want to share some ideas for you to consider to help you reach your goal to getting back together.
1. Men need their space: They want and need the freedom to pursue a hobby, like golf or fishing, to watch their favorite sports or hang out with the guys on a regular basis. With out these freedoms some men feel limited in their marriage. The more limitations he feels that are placed on him can make him distant and emotionally unavailable. Allow him this space and he will appreciate it and enjoy the time he spends with you and your family more.
2. Contact: Limit it. Keep your contact with him to a minimum if you are separated. You need to give him time to work through his feelings of the separation. I understand this separation is very unsettling to you but it can be just as upsetting to him. Do not make the mistake of being so needy that you feel you need to talk to him and reason with him to pull your marriage together. This could prove to be more harmful than helpful. You both need to step back and look at your situation objectively and with time make the positive changes that can bring you back together.
3. Soul Search: Take a look at your own faults. Be honest with yourself. Do you nag, yell, get angry, not listen to him or not give him enough attention? It does not matter who is at fault for the problems in your marriage, you both need to work at mending your relationship. Think about what you can do or changes you can make that can bring you together.
4. Setting Priorities: With work and other commitments outside of your home your relationship with your husband may have deteriorated as a result. Find ways to make time for your husband and show him how important he is to you. He should also do the same for you. Unless you both work towards a resolution to get back together it will not happen.
5. Listen: Be calm when he is ready to talk. Getting upset will not be helpful. Listen to everything he has to say and be as objective as possible. If he has questions, address them directly and communicate your feelings calmly and clearly to him. You want to make sure that he feels he is heard and understood so have an honest discussion with him.
If you want your husband back be the person he fell in love with. Think about how you can improve yourself both inside and out. If you have let yourself slide because of the relationship stresses, this is the time to put yourself back together.
