The business card is one of the most indispensable marketing materials today. This wallet-sized card basically sums up who you are and what your business do. Over the years, custom business cards have become a popular trend. A lot of opportunities to promote new techniques, designs and styles are available today making it easy to create unique and memorable cards.

But how do you make your business card stand out among others? All you need to do is to put in distinct features that will make your card exceptional. If you do this you enhance interest towards your business card and, consequently increase the interest of target customers. Keep in mind that your business card is your face so you need to make people remember your card after the first look. Here are pointers to draw customers with your business cards.

  • How you present your card to your target customers has a lot to do with the success of your card. As much as possible, present your card with both hands as it produces a massive psychological impact to your prospects. It tells them that you respect them.
  • If you want to give your card to someone but can't seem to find the best moment to it to him, consider asking for his card first. The odds are they will ask for your business card in return.
  • When introduce yourself to someone, do it with your card. Consider giving your card to the receptionist at the dentist's office, the waiter at the restaurant, or to anyone you want to you introduce yourself.
  • Consider putting your card in all your mail. When returning rented goods, don't forget to include your card. Even when mailing invoices or communication letters, be sure to enclose your card.
  • Network with your cards. Ask if you can include the cards of other businesses in your mailings, and if they agree ask them to do the same with yours.
  • Every time you receive cards, consider taking down notes such as the date, interests, physical characteristics, and other information you want to remember with the person who gave you the card. If you don't want to do this in front of the person, go somewhere you can write immediately after your conversation.
  • Create a system for carrying and gathering cards in such a way that you will easily remember the person who gave the card.
  • Be sure to use a business card holder to keep your cards and those that you received organized.
  • Make your card attractive by adding a symbol or logo that represents you and your business. Be sure that the symbol you use is easy to remember and effectively used to promote your business. It's a great idea to add your own picture in the business card templates.
  • If you want a stylish card, you can always consider using a folded business card. This will add a lot of available space in your card to put your information.
  • You can use out of the ordinary designs. For instance, you can cut the corners of your card unevenly or use a different shape other than rectangular. But keep in mind that one of the vital features of a business card is it can be stored conveniently. So, be sure not to overdo your unique design.
