During the past couple of years, many social book marking websites and services have sprung up all over the internet.

Social book-marking websites are where you can create a free account so that you can book mark (save) all of your important websites and information free.

There are about 50-100 of such social book marking websites, but the biggest and the most popular ones are, google.com book marking, yahoo.com book marking, technorati.com book marking, furl.com, de.lici.us, del.iri.us, shadows.com, linkroll.com, magnolia.com, onlywire.com, Slashdot.com, netscape.com, reddit.com, hyperlinkomatics.com.

For sometime, many internet marketers have been trying to figure out how to capitalize on these social book-marking services to generate website traffics.

They believed that if they create free accounts at these social book-marking sites and bookmark their websites there that they could attract a few thousands of the website traffics that flock to use these social book-marking services.

However, experience has proved this to be a pipedream and ineffective for getting website traffics.

Even though almost all of these social book-marking services and websites have Google.com high page ranks, it seems that they implement a “no follow” link rule, which invalidates any link you may get from them by book- marking your websites there.

If you have been frustrated by this, perhaps it will be wise for you to consider some of the “secret strategies”, which we have tried that seem to be helpful.

Here, they are:

(1) After you create your free accounts at these social book-marking websites, remember to validate your account by clicking on the validating link in the e-mail that they sent to you.

Then go back to the social book-marking website and login to your account and edit your member’s page and include your website address.

(2) Next, submit all of your member pages to the search engines every two weeks until they begin showing up in Google.com and Yahoo.com and Msn.com search engines.

Furthermore, book mark all your social book-marking member’s pages at all the social book-marking websites!

This would help boost your link popularity, Google.com page rank and help you generate free website traffics.

(3) These social book marking websites have high page ranks and most have 10,000-100,000 members, so, it may be wise to consider placing ads at their homepages.

(4) To take advantage further of their traffics, you may consider doing a joint venture with them where they agree to send an e-mail to their members to promote your products and services and you will share in the profits with them.
