The banner actually changed the life of this individual.      John was depressed. His wife just left him taking his son. John was completely devastated. He thought his life was over. He felt he did not have anything to live for with his family no longer in his life.      John decided to take a walk in the woods to clear his mind. Feeling utterly alone and without any hopes of a better future, he walked with his head hung low. Asking himself why his life had taken such a horrible change of direction, he contemplated suicide.       John knew he was not supposed to act on taking his own life but things would be better for himself. It was selfish to want such an easy answer to the situation he was in. Yet he did not know where to turn or what to do to improve his situation. He walked slowly searching deep within himself for the answer.       While walking in the peaceful solitude of the woods, John heard a plane fly overhead. He looked up to see the plane. He noticed the plane was towing a banner. Reading the message on the banner, "God Loves You." The scripture of John 3:16 followed the message.      John raced home to read his Bible. In his Bible, he read the scripture John 3:16 (King James Version):  16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.      John realized there was more to life then only his situation and family. He realized he did have something to live for. He realized his life was important. More importantly, John realized that God loved him. John wanted the everlasting life promised by God.      The simple act of the aerial banner helped save a life. It brought hope to a man who felt at the time, he had nothing to live for. The banner touched a man who was walking in a wooded area in the country where there were no signs, billboards, radio, or other media.      The banner was able to reach a destination secluded to bring forth a message to a man who felt he had no hope. The message touched a life, changed a life.      Using a tow banner to advertise can touch lives in other ways. Maybe not as astounding as it touched John's life, but they do make an impression on the people who view them.
