Ytb (Your Travel Biz) Imploding?

YTB President and COO Andy Cauthen Resigns. According to YTB's site, Andy Cauthen joined YTB in November 2004 as COO with a background in executive management, corporate operations, administration, marketing and sales.

He was named President of YourTravelBiz.com in October 2006. He has served as president and CEO of two major ($1 billion + asset based) companies, and has had P&L responsibility for a $200 million budget and 2,000 employees. 

 In an attempt to reduce losses YTB International laid off 49 workers temporarily at the end of January.  The employees were laid off for a 90-day period beginning on January 22nd and represent about 25% of the company's work force.  No severance has been paid to the employees since the company hopes the layoffs are just temporary, but employees will still continue to receive their medical benefits according to Robert Van Patten, YTB's president and CEO.

 Earlier this month John D. Clagg, Chief Financial Officer abruptly resigned.  John D. Clagg had been the Chief Financial Officer of YTB International Inc. since November 21, 2005 and its subsidiary, YourTravelBiz.com since December 15, 2003.

 Among the recent and continued struggles with YTB (Your Travel Biz) and YTB Outdoors, many of the current and former Directors and Leaders with YTB, now Zam Zuu are jumping from the sinking ship. The problem with YTB, now Zam Zuu started two years ago when the Attorney General for the state of California slapped a major lawsuit against YTB.

 In January, YTB Founder and “Coach” Tomer forfeited 355,000 shares of YTB stock for failure to meet established performance goals.  The bad news is that he had to forfeit them. But Coach is not alone. The founder's son Scott Tomer forfeited the same amount as well.  And Kim Sorensen, head of the travel business forfeited the same amount of shares for performance failure too.

 YTB stock is basically worthless today, with almost 4 times average shares traded today, YTB's stock slipped down to LESS THAN 3.5 cents per share! There were three very large selloffs today. I wonder what news might be coming soon. Who might be leaving?

 With many of the YTB top money earners or directors now gone, and enrollment at rock bottom levels; it seems that YTB is imploding. Things  looked real promising for this travel MLM company just last year, but after a string of bad moves, YTB is a shrinking ship.
