10 Reasons Every Woman Should Own Lingerie

Have you ever wondered why some women are so obsessed with spending large amounts of money on items that aren't seen by anyone else (unless you're a lingerie model) other than your sweet love? The problem with that thinking runs deeper than you perhaps realize. That line of thinking says lingerie is for someone else. Not so anymore...it's time to become a bit self absorbed and do something for yourself for a change.
If you don't currently own any lingerie at all, here are 10 good reasons you must go out today and purchase some. If you have already started a collection, these are great reasons to add to that collection.
1. It creates the quintessential feminine feeling! What can be more feminine than really beautiful and sexy undergarments? Okay, maybe fake eyelashes...hey why not do both.
2. Wearing lingerie says you are self confidence. What we wear says a lot about who we are. Lingerie, unlike shoes, dresses, and handbags is not worn as outwardly for the world to see. So you may ask...why bother when I can buy plain garments that serve the same purpose. Only you can answer that question. Aimee Mullins once commented that confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. It's much sexier than any body part. What we wear is often a direct reflection of who we are and how we feel about ourselves. Don't kid yourself...you are beautiful on the inside and out. So even if no one ever sees it, wear it with enjoyment knowing you are a beautiful woman.
3. If makes you look and feel sexy. I don't know one woman in the entire world that could honestly say wearing undergarments that are lacy and soft doesn't make her feel better about herself then wearing garments that are old, scratchy worn, plain, and falling apart. As humans, we are driven so much by our emotions so if wearing a little lingerie can truly make you feel better on the inside and out wouldn't it be worth it? I think it might make our days go a little bit better.
4. It sets the mood for intimacy. Nothing says I love you and am attracted to you more then donning sexy lingerie. Men are very visual by nature so seeing their love in a beautiful garment can do wonders for the intimate life. Which leads me to the number 5 reason.
5. It can increase your overall emotional and physical health, increase your longevity, increase sexual satisfaction, increase income and wealth. Okay, this one may be a bit of a stretch but let me explain. As mentioned in reason number 4, men are visual and wearing lingerie (which is a visual turn-on) can lead to increased intimacy. One could rationally justify that increase intimacy leads to increase martial satisfaction and longevity, right? And...long, happy marriages are key to the accuracy of this reason. According to Dr. Gary Chapman, research reveals that married people have overall better emotional and physical health, live longer lives, experience greater sexual satisfaction, have greater incomes, and consequently more accumulated wealth. Therefore, the equation: Lingerie+Greater Intimacy=Happier Marriage which in turn equals all the reasons cited to buy lingerie! (that is my kind of math)
6. If for no other reason, so he'll stop bugging you to wear it. We have already established that men are visual and like lingerie. If you can't go with any other reason listed, do this one because you love him so much and want to make him happy. (I know I said it would be all about us, but they are great men so we can give them at lease 1 of the 10)
7. It's a much sexier splurge than shoes or handbags. Don't get me wrong...I love shoes and handbags as much as the next girl but there isn't enough lace and fancy material in the world to dress up a pair of shoes or handbag that will every compare with lingerie when it comes to sexiness.
8. It can change the shape of your body. These days, there are so many pieces that can lift, tuck, separate, conceal, smash, etc that you can minimize your flaws and accentuate your assets. Buying styles that are right for your body type can do wonders for how you look and ultimately feel in the lingerie.
9. It makes clothes look and feel better. How many times have you seen the poor girl with panty lines? Or how about visual lumps through the clothing? Correct fitting lingerie styles can eliminate many of these problems. Plus they come in some of the most amazing fabrics that feel so luxurious next to the body.
10. Because you deserve it! If I have yet to convince you, then go buy lingerie because you are an awesome person and deserve a treat for all you do for everyone else.
As a woman, it's our right to look and feel beautiful. Unfortunately, the world doesn't often help our cause so we have to take matters into our own hands and solidify ourselves as self-confident, secure, beautiful women. Putting on your favorite lingerie is a great start to making that happen.
