Almost everyone has been brainwashed to accept the fallacious premise that hard work is necessary to be successful. But the overwhelming evidence suggest the contrary. If hard work is supposed to produce success than it would stand to reason that everyone who works hard should be successful. But that is far from the case.Most people who works hard never come close to being successful.In fact, most hard workers have a higher incidence of non-success than they have success. Financial strain, stress related problems are some of the ill- effects.
Working non-stop, effectiontaly, 10 hours a day, skipping lunch to meet the deadline are the features of a hard worker. But, at the end if all your endeavor would go waste then how you feel?
There is a better way. The better way is WORK SMART.
Instead of success resulting from hard work the opposite is true, that success is inversely proportional to hard work. In other words, more success comes the less you work.
People working in offices are very self-motive. Smart workers are individuals who maximize the resources they have in creative ways to achieve or exceed the desired result.
Hard workers are individuals who dig in & give the job everything they have but work within the prescribed limits & scope of the position. They don't exceed the boundaries of the position to achieve the result.
For example, Two workers assigned job of cutting wood. Worker H was consistently cutting wood, every second, every minute, all day. while worker S was also cutting wood but by taking regular intervals. Surprisingly, as the day went by, Worker S has accumulated more pile's of wood then the worker H. The reason was worker S was sharpening his axe in the intervals.
Work smartly no matter if you are degrading others position to make your position strong. To mend ways for success such as hovering around your boss every time when he is in office, doing his personal work etc. That is why, within a year a senior would hold the position higher to the one who has more experience.
A very harsh reality that an honest, dedicated worker has nothing to cheer except a monthly fixed salary cheque rather than a deceitful, clever worker has many reason to cheer as increasing in salary & position.
