Intellectual Property Theft Sometimes Allowed by Owners

Today I have leant a lesson I wish everyone should know. This is relevant to all intellectual property owners e.g. writers, artists, painters, composers, designers, etc. Of course I know that all people have their own God given area of expertise where they can excel and probably be innovative above average to competitors. So, if you’re not sure where you can excel, your task major is to find out.
Let me get to the lesson. ‘Never underestimate whatever you give out to consumers’. This need not be material products, but it could be electronic, digital products and/or services. What I’m going to say now may sound obvious but it’s not to many. ‘It is one’s consumers/customers who will rank the status/quality of a product/service, not the provider’. Before your customers tell you otherwise, keep offering the service or product with unmatchable confidence.
Also common is underutilizing one’s potential. This prevail where there is a lot of competition, such as on the internet. I’ll share my experience with you that has made me believe that I’m leaving a mark on the internet as my website continues to develop. If you go to google and search for my name , you’ll definitely get some results that will direct you to some of my work.
I’m an African, who is ever willing to learn, but the truth is that I could be better, just that I don’t know why I often get lazy. My website has been up since October 2006 . I learnt from gurus online on how to market one’s website. After trying it, I have seen encouraging results. Some of the tip was that of writing and posting articles free online, which what you are reading ‘articles’ is part of. I’m certain that a great potion of the page impressions I get on my website are from my several posted articles. True, it has taken me some time to learn that I can write an article that other people online would commend and even publish in their own websites. Yes, I have achieved that level, though I thought I couldn’t.
I have even noticed that some people stole some of my free articles and re-published them in another article website. I have myself to blame for not having published my articles in as many websites that accept free articles. Today, which is after a month or two, I tried publishing one of my articles with some article hosting site. To my surprise, I discovered that someone else had published the very same article. So hurting to know that I author the article. I’m sure there certainly is nothing I can do now because I actually offered my article for free.
What this tells me is that my lack of confidence has robbed me some benefits. I always though that because I have never done well in any of my English classes, then I’m not good at written English. Yet I so much like to write. Now, I’m also surprising myself because to date I author five fully fledged books. From which I have had occasional complements from the people around and abroad. A week ago I got a complementary email from a reader (whom I don’t know) who saw one of my published articles. Isn’t it encouraging? To me it is.
From today onwards, I swear never to underestimate my potential. I also encourage whoever will read this article to be confident in whatever product/service he offers to the world. ‘Having confidence does pay of, but the lack of it only provides a stepping stone for those who may copy and follow’.
