Is Money on your Mind?

I always seem to have money thoughts running through my head.  Problem is, usually I'm calculating things I need to buy vs what I have to spend.  If this sounds familiar, read on.

Money, or better described as Currency, is misleading stuff for a couple of reason.  First of all, thinking of your money is an unconscious event for most of us.  We generally keep a running tally between the amount we have vs  how much we will need to pay the bills this month, and how much we'll be making from paycheck to paycheck.  It may work, but it could be keeping you on a financial treadmill without building anything to put in the bank for yourself.

Money and The Law of Attraction are an interesting pair.  When we focus our attention on something (wanted or unwanted) (conscious or unconscious) we get the essence of that vibration.  The big picture is that when were keeping track of how much is left, in reality were worried there won't be enough.  Lack has a funny way of hiding in the most innocent act of our mental book keeping.

Breaking this cycle is easy.  Believe it or not bills are your friend.  What does a bill mean to you?  Does it represent someone who wants money from you?  If it does, you might be interested in this exercise.  See every bill as a gift.  Say thank you to the bill when it arrives in the mail.  This bill is for services or goods you already received.  Lets take your cell phone bill.  Now I agree there are several additional charges with tax and all that, but let us look at your usage.   You were billed for something you already were able to enjoy.  That is a new spin on things, eh?  You didn't have to pay until after you used the air time.  This wouldn't be the case with a normal pay phone.

We need to check ourselves from time to time and think more about what it is that we're thankful for.  We miss countless opportunities everyday to give thanks for the things we appreciate in our lives.  The easiest and simplest way that I know is to write for 10 minutes everyday on what I'm grateful for.  It really becomes a challenge to seek new things everyday, but this effort manifests as an unfolding stream of good fortune.

Try this out for a couple of weeks.  Soon you'll find paying the bills feels good.  Money needn't be worried about because you know there is plenty, and you'll see it opportunities of free money everywhere.

Thank You

~Dan
