Affiliate marketing is one of the best and easiest ways of earning residual income online. Because these affiliate marketing programs are easy to join, some of them are even free to join, it has gotten more and more attention from many entrepreneurs.
However, like other online or offline businesses, one must get everything right to make it a success. Making some of the most common mistakes will cost the marketers great profits that they should be making everyday. That is why it is better to avoid them than be regretful in the end.
Mistake number 1: Not choosing the right affiliate program.
Everyone wants to make a profit as fast as possible. In their rush to make a profit, they tend to choose a well-decorated product or program. This kind of program tends to give an impression that it is “hot”. Marketers choose this kind of product because it is perceived to be in high demand. They did not spend time to think about whether it is suitable for them. This is certainly not a wise move.
Instead of jumping on these well-decorated programs, try to choose a program in which you are truly interested in. You will be more focused and determined if the program you chose is something you like.
Then do some market research about that program / product to see if they are in demand.
Mistake number 2: Joining too many affiliate programs.
Since affiliate programs are extremely easy to join, a lot of people tend to join a few affiliate programs at one time, trying to maximize the earnings or thinking of minimizing their risks and increase the chances of success.
True, this is a great way to have multiple income streams and increase the chances of success. However, joining multiple programs and trying to promote them all at the same time will prevent you from focusing on each one of them.
Joining too much without serious consideration could lead to disastrous results where you make less than you should be making or you can’t make any at all. The best way to get good result is by joining just one program at a time. Choose those that pay a 40% commission at least. You can also consider those that help you to earn long term residual income through recruitment of downlines. Then put in your best effort in promoting the program / product. As soon as you see that it is making a reasonable profit, then if you want you can now join another affiliate program.
Mistake number 3: Not buying the product or using the service.
As an affiliate, you major role is to convincingly promote a product or program to customers. You have to know the product / program in and out, the benefits and what it takes to succeed in order for you to promote them effectively. It is very difficult for you to do this when you yourself have not tried these things out. Then you will not be able to create a desire that motivates your customers.
Before you sign up as an affiliate, try the product or program personally first to see if it is really delivering what it promises. If you have done so, then you are more capable of promoting them because you are aware of its advantages and disadvantages. Your customers will then feel the sincerity and credibility in you and are more motivated to try them out themselves.
Thousands of affiliate marketers out there make these mistakes and costing them a large amount of affiliate commissions. To not repeat the same mistake, try to do everything to avoid making the same mistakes.

I just recieved an IBM Thinkpad (laptop) from my aunt. She used it for work, and it requires me to control alt delete everytime to logon, using her password. I went to the control panel and went through all those options and found an area that was checked, saying, requires users to control alt delete to logon at startup. I deactivated that feature but it still makes me logon everytime i turn the computer on...help!and whats the best way to clean up a computer, meaning get rid of files and things on this laptop i dont need, making it almost new again...anyway to do it myself...i did disk cleanup and defragment, but it onle seemed to help a little
