Times are hard and people are looking for different ways to make some extra money. Part-time jobs are hard to find so people are heading to the internet to see how they may be able to make money online. Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to get started so here are some tips that may help.
1. Sign up with an affiliate network program such as Clickbank, PayDotCom or Commission Junction. There is no cost to join and each of these sites has literally thousands of products to choose from. They deal mostly with informational products such as eBooks and software, but also with physical goods and even memberships.
2. Choose a product to promote. Instead of finding a product you love and promoting it, do your research to see what people want and then fall in love with those products. Having a hungry target audience for what you are promoting is much easier then promoting a product no one wants to purchase.
3. Do your research and find the keywords people are searching for pertaining to your product. Take those keywords and start a Squidoo Lens. Write about the product you are promoting. If you haven't purchased the product before you start promoting it, go over the website and see what others are saying about the product. Check out the testimonials and do a Google search to see what others are saying. You never want to promote a product that doesn't have a good review.
4. Change your content up and now write an article on the same subject. Post your article to the major article sites such as EZine Articles, Go Articles and Article Dashboard. Make sure that the keywords you use are in your title as well as in the body of the article itself.
5. Now that you have your Squidoo lens up and your article spread around, put this same content in a blog. You can use Google's free blogspot or get a WordPress blog with your own domain name. By spreading your content around, Google will pick it up as fresh and new and people searching for the particular phrases you used with your title, will find your information.
These are all free ways you can get your content online and promote products through affiliate marketing. With time you can create more lens, articles and blog posts. Google just loves fresh content. These are the best free methods to start making money online I have found to date.
