7 Reasons to Use Affiliate Products for Your New Online Business

Many people start an online business with no clear idea how they are going to make money. They rush in and develop a blog or website and expect that money will magically appear. In order to make money on the internet, you have to have a plan on HOW you are going to make money online. One of the best ways to make money when you are just starting out is to use affiliate products. Following is a list of 7 reasons why you should consider using affiliate products for your online business.

1. You don’t need to spend the time creating your own product. Developing your own product can be extremely successful. However, it is usually very time consuming, especially for those who are new to the business. By using affiliate products, you can have a product ready to sell in a matter of minutes.

2. Less hassle. The vendor takes care of all of the details. He develops the product, creates a sales page, adds a payment processing procedure, is responsible for the sale, takes care of delivering the product and deals with the customer if any problems arise. Your only responsibility is to refer people to the vendor’s sales page. That’s it!

3. Generous payment. Even though the vendor does the bulk of the work, you make a very generous amount for your efforts. Each time one of your referrals makes a purchase, you receive a commission. Commissions vary between 30% and 75% of the total sales price. I know of no other business that pays such generous commissions.

4. Low entry fee. Most affiliate programs are absolutely free to participate. You can register with a company as an affiliate and show as many (or as few) of their products as you like with no charge. This makes it ideal way for those who are starting a new online business.

5. Free training. Many vendors can supply you with free training videos and reports. This training can be invaluable to newbies.

6. Free sales tools. Many vendors supply you with sales pieces, reports, and emails that you can send to interested prospects.

7. No commitment on your part. You are under no obligation to the vendor. If you not happy with the product or conversion ratio, you are free to drop that product at any time and find a new one. This gives you a great deal of flexibility in the products that you offer.
