You've heard of "super-affiliates" pulling in six figure incomes from marketing other people's products online. The thing is they didn't just get to where they are at overnight. It took them time to learn the ropes, and it took them time to build up their businesses to the point where they're at now. They Build Their Mailing Lists
Any super-affiliate will tell you that one of the keys to success is having a large and active "opt-in" list of proven buyers who are ready, willing, and able to buy from you.
List building is not something that happens overnight and is one of those things that you start and keep working on as time goes by. You also have to make sure to interact with your list members...to give them a reason to stay on your list and to trust your judgement in what products in their niche are the best to buy.
They Have A Few Websites Built Around Each Product They Market
Super-affiliates know that different products appeal to different people, and they want to tailor their sites in a way that enhances the user's experience. The better the user feels about a website, the more likely he or she is to buy the product.
Affiliate sales pages are great for what they are, but you can warm up your leads much better if you "pre-sell" to them on a great landing page, or by providing them with some useful content on your blog. In any event, if you're serious about running an online business, then you're going to need to develop a web presence. Hosting is very cheap these days as are domain names.
If you need to start out with a free blog, that will work until you've built up your business enough to afford your own hosting and domain, and will open up many avenues for free advertising as well for you.
They Stick To It
As I said in my opening paragraph, the super-affiliates started out in the same position you are in now. Many of them started out without a dime to their names. They stuck to it and made it happen for themselves, despite doubts and early mistakes.
Starting your own business is a rewarding and exhilarating experience. It is also one fraught with frustration, doubts, and disappointments. Take a page from the super-affiliates and don't let the times when you're feeling like you'll never make a dime get to you. Don't let anyone, not even yourself, convince you that it's best to quit. Keep at it, and someday. you'll be a super-affiliate, too.
