There are many things that you will have to consider when you first start doing your affiliate marketing business. As this affiliate marketing is a real business, you will need to have a system of operating your business. So what are the 5 things that you should not be doing as a newbie?
1) Not focusing on one system
This is the most common mistake that people make as they will always be on the lookout for the magic pills. You will have to remember that there is no magic pill and you will have to work to grow your business. Focusing on one system will give you better result.
2) Not following the system closely
This is the mistake that most people should not make. If you are able to get access to one good proven system, you will want to follow it through and do it one step at a time. Most people do not want to follow the step as they will feel that it is too tedious. The real fact is that you have to work to grow your business.
3) Not Building Your Own List
Some people do not like the idea of going through the trouble of building a website and following up with the customer because they are only interested in the money. They will think that there is too much work to do. The cold hard fact is that you do not have a long term business if you are not building your own list.
4) Promoting Wrong Affiliate Product
Most new affiliates will not bother to check whether the affiliate product is good or not as they are only interested in the high commission. You will have to always treat yourself as the customer by asking whether you will purchase this product if someone offers it to you. Do not ever make the mistake of promoting the wrong affiliate product to the wrong market.
5) Giving Up Too Easily
It is unavoidable that you will still make mistakes even though you are following a proven business blueprint. There are some lessons that will require you to learn through making mistake. Treat each mistake as the chance for you learn a new lesson so that you can progress in your business. Giving up should be the last thing in your mind.
