Opt in page can be define as a simple website which is designed to collect the customer’s data (Name and Email Address) so that they will join your opt in list. The whole process is also call lead generation. So what is the relationship between the “opt in page” and affiliate marketing and why is it so important?
If you have been doing affiliate marketing for awhile, you would have heard people saying that if you do not have your own profitable list, you do not have a long term business.
It is important to know that not all customers will buy the affiliate product from you when they first came to the merchant’s website through your affiliate link. If they do not buy the product and they leave the website, you will lose the customer forever.
However, if you do collect the customer’s details before sending them to the merchant’s website, you will still be able to follow up with the customer even if they do not buy the product. While you are following up with your customer, you are also building relationship with them.
Once you have build a relationship with your list and they trust you, it will be easier for you to promote affiliate products as they will know that you are in sincere in helping them. Your affiliate sales will definitely increase if you are willing to build a list and build a relationship with a list.
All of these will only be achievable if you have a effective opt in page which helps you to collect your own profitable list. If you have a effective “opt in page” and you send constantly to that page, you will soon be building a huge list for yourself. Thus, the “opt in page” is a very important component if you have to have a successful affiliate marketing business.
