As it can be a time consuming process and not feasible to the busy advertiser or merchant, these tasks are therefore left for the networks.
Affiliate networks maintained a client base of registered affiliates and advertisers. In order to avail the service, the web site owner or advertiser has to first sign up the program and get registered. Once it is done, the network can provide further instructions as what to do and how to do.
