Did you ever think about swimming 2.4 miles, then bike 112 miles and cap those two grueling events off with a 26.2 mile full marathon run?  I’m sure if you are like me, we only respect any human being who could put themselves through such an athletic process.  I think in terms of the training each athlete must go through.  I can only imagine the hours each athlete spends in the pool, hours on a bike and hours on the road running.  Then I think of my affiliate marketing campaigns and the hours to make my business internet money online opportunity successful.  Is there a similarity?

Absolutely and in more ways that you can imagine.  Here are some similarities between an ironman athlete and an internet affiliate marketer.

(1)  It takes a firm commitment to doing an ironman and a firm commitment to creating your business internet money online opportunity.

No athlete I know just said I am going to jump in the pool and swim 2.4 miles then follow it up with a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon without seriously committing to do so.  This means spending hours in preparation.  The similarity with your business internet money online opportunity is that you will need to make a firm commitment.  It won’t be in training but it will be in time put in to learning about internet marketing and doing it constantly and consistently.

(2)  You have to work through difficult times to become an ironman and an internet marketer.

There will be days that you are just too tired to dedicate the time and effort to your affiliate marketing campaign.  An ironman athlete has those days as well but your persistence to work through the difficult times must prevail.
(3)  It takes an amazing amount of time to do an ironman as well as make your business internet money online opportunity cross the finish line.

To finish an ironman takes between 11 to 15 hours.  The leaders do it in around 9 hours and the world record is 8:04:08.  That is a full day for most people and think about that for a minute.  Do you spend that same amount of time working on your affiliate marketing?  If you did consistently imagine the success you would have.
