Yes it is possible to earn extra income on the Internet, and some would have you believe it is easy!

So you think that maybe you can earn extra money on the Internet. Well first let's see if you qualify. Here are 4 steps you must be able to do:

The basics needed to be an Internet Marketer

1. Have basic computer skills. No I don't mean that super teckie stuff like HTML. If you can send and receive e-mails, then you have a jump-start over many beginners.

2. You will need at least 3rd grade math skills. No calculus or trigonometry. If you can add, subtract, multiply and divide you will be able to set up your own accounting system for your business.

3. You will need to establish a plan for your business. If you have no business experience I'll show you how to get the information you need to set up a plan. You must start off from a business perspective. We're not talking about a hobby here.

4. Are you willing to learn new skills? And are you willing to put those skills to work for you? Then you will need to take immediate action to get those skills.

Affiliate Marketing is the best starting point for the beginner

Internet marketing, and in particular--affiliate marketing--is a time-proven means to supplement your income. You can actually get started with a basic computer, Internet connection and a willingness to spend a few hours a day working at building your business.

The human mind works in funny ways--but it is no laughing matter. We're talking about a truly serious approach to making money on line. I'm no rocket scientist so if I, with a high school education, can do it--so can anyone with a real desire.

Can you develop a "Positive Mindset?

To make money online requires a positive mindset and some degree of patience too. It will not happen overnight--even though you may have been told you can make tons of money during your first week. • Get your thinking process leaning toward a positive outcome. If you can visualize yourself checking your ClickBank account and seeing numbers there instead of rows of zeros, you are on the right track. If you don't know anything about ClickBank--a good friend of mine will fill you in later.

• Imagine seeing enough sales to pay your electric bill this month. This is possible! It can be done, but it will take some serious effort on your part.

• Imagine your home-based business being more than a hobby. If you are satisfied seeing $20 or $30 a month--you will not see any more growth unless you make a commitment too make more--make it grow,

• Imagine you reaching a level in daily sales that you can think about creating your own products to sell on ClickBank--instead of just getting commissions for selling someone else's creation. "Whoa!" you say. "I can't create products to sell!" BULL! You can if you want to see your business take off. "But I don't have the talent needed to write an e-book!" you say.

Talent vs. Skill. What is the difference

Well let me explain something here. Talent is a God-given trait. You have ii or you don't. Talent is a relative thing. You may not know you have a specific talent until you try and see if you do.

OK, so you try to draw a self-portrait. It looks terrible. So what? Drawing or painting takes a basic amount of talent--but talent is a fraction of what is needed.

The best part is that skills can be learned

What is needed is SKILL! Talent can't be learned--but skill can be learned. Skills develop over time. Skills are a measure of your ability to accomplish a goal.

Let's say you want to create an e-book that teaches stay at home moms how to create craft projects for kids. E-books on this subject are very much in demand and if it's priced right--it will sell.
