What makes a person stand out as an affiliate marketer? Is it the sales, the service, or the name that makes someone excel and rise to the top? I think it's a combination of all three. Don't feel intimidated. You can become one of the best.
Nothing will turn people off more than feeling that you are more interested in making a sale than you are in helping them get what they need. If you have nothing to offer them beyond the product you want to sell them, why should they buy from you? Returning customers speak of your relationship of trust and respect. How do you get repeat customers? Give them good reason to come back. When they purchase your product you will have them on your email list. It's up to you to keep them on your list. Provide them with real information of value that will help them use the product you sold them successfully. Provide them with resources of information that they can put to use for themselves, building on what they know or have or need to know or have. Offer free reports they can download from your site. Ask for their ideas and opinions about business needs and concerns. Give them a place to share their thoughts on your site so that you can listen to their needs and give them what they want. When you do have a product to offer them they will be more willing to consider it if they know you back up your sales with useful information and helpful advice and assistance. They will turn to you when they do want to purchase something.
