How To Effectively Use Yahoo/Overture For Increase Website Traffic

Overture is now known as Yahoo because of a Merger, Yahoo being the original inventor of the Pay for Performance Service. Overture recognized that the internet would become an easy convenient mode of shopping from the easy chair, and advertising would become the only way to market online.

Creating Ads to direct potential consumers to Sales sites would be the way for increase sales and website traffic. Yahoo Search service places ads on their sites that are shown when certain keywords are searched.
Yahoo's service allows any advertiser to increase traffic to their website or business. When more people know about your site, there is the potential for more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial profit for your company.

A consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company's goal. Website visitors are the life blood of any internet based business.

Overture and Yahoo uses the same principle as Google adwords. They all use keyword and keyword phrase searches to determine which ads to show per search. When anyone types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search a product, the search engines give out a results page. At the right side of this page, can be seen selected paid ads to be viewed.

Let's say, you own a health/fitness site. Your chosen keywords must prompt or trigger your ads to be shown on the page when your keyword is searched. If a search engine user types in Vitamin B6, your ad should appear if you have entered Vitamin B6 as one of your keywords.
With this very effective method of advertising your site, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least on the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked. And this is the way to drive traffic and website visitors to your site consistently.

This service is not free, cash will dictate much success. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge for this service. By the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or how many times your ad is clicked.

The more areas in which your ad is shown will increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product, which, in turn causes an increase in website visitors and an increase in sales and profitability.

Due to fierce competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a giant leap forward by advertising.

Yahoo/Overture is a great place to start. Many have used their services and have reaped some excellent rewards. This marketing strategy is sure to increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting in more profit.
