Learn Affiliate Marketing Goal Setting: Think Big–and Small

Learn that affiliate marketing is all about setting the right goals. Not just the "million dollars a year" online goal, but realistic goals that you can actually reach in a short time.

Just reading the comments over in the Affiliate Seeking Forums is very surprising.

There's an entire thread devoted to people sharing ideas and trying to learn how to "make a million dollars" online, with affiliate marketing or internet marketing.

Most of the people chatting are new and still learning affiliate marketing. They haven't made a single dime yet.

Now you can hear the pain and frustration in their words–Almost begging for someone affiliate marketing millionaire to appear out of a burst of smoke and save them several "get rich quick" ideas. Wake up people.

The fact is, if you haven't made any money online, you're not going to make a million dollars today. Or tomorrow.

Sure, in time you could become a millionaire, but obsessing about that goal today will kill you. Don't believe me? Try it then. I dare you to constantly think about how you can make a million dollars online, for weeks on end.

I'll bet that you're stressed out already and it's only been 10 seconds.

That stress will destroy your business, your motivation and your hope. Sure, everybody wants to make a million bucks, but few people believe they can do it. And there's nothing wrong with that.

But that's why you need learn how to set real affiliate marketing goals that are big and small, that you can actually get to.

Set 2 goals for yourself, just like I did. One small and one bigger.

Here are two goals that I used to motivate myself 4 years a go:

"I'm going to make $100/month with affiliate marketing by the end of next month!"

"I'm going to make $1500/month with affiliate marketing by the end of next year!"

Thinking small can make your goals much easier to reach. And it makes the goal more real, like you can really do it! And believing you can do it will give you a "spring in your step" and motivate you to keep working.

Here are a couple goal setting tips:

Set a small, short-term goal that you believe you will reach. It can be anything from $1/month to $1000. Just make sure you're confident you can do it.

Set a bigger longer term goal that you think you can reach. This is where you can let your mind have some fun. Think of a goal that would really help you right now. Would an extra $1000/month help your current situation. How about $5000? Set a goal that you know will take hard work to reach, but is still possible.

Now go and reach your goals!

How? When you're thinking about your goal you've got to ask a question. One question:

"How can I [insert your goal here] and enjoy doing it?"

When you ask yourself this question, your brain will start thinking of answers you'll want to hear. And if you keep the "enjoy doing it" in the question, that's exactly what you'll get. Ways to reach your goals that are enjoyable, fun and exciting!

One more tip:

When you reach your short term goal. Change it! Keep adding to it and keep growing your business, your income and your confidence! And call me when you really believe that you can make a million dollars online.
