We bought our suburban Twin Cities house in 2005, not long before the bubble burst. Now it's worth $25-30K less than we paid for it and about the same amount as our loan. However, our income has risen and we'd like to upgrade (and move to a location closer to my job) in the next year or two. Are there still options available for no-money-down loans w/ a good rate? Also, is it advisable to try to sell and take the hit knowing that we're also going to buy at a good price, given the state of the market?
