I just received a letter along with a check drawn off Citibank out of Hillbrae, CA in the amount of $4750.00 from Concept Funds LTd stating that I was a winner in the the second category Sweepstake Draw held on May 30, 2008. The etter stated that the check is for payment of Canadian Non-Resident Governmemt Service Tax (GST).
Tax Amount $3520.25
Payment Method: Money Gram Wire Transfer
I wa further instructed to call my claim agent Emmanuel Lee @ 778.316.7994 within 14 days. The letter was signed by Roy E Albertson but the name under the signature is Kerr A;bertson which coindently is the street name for Concept Funds LTD in Toronto,Ontario?
While I am certain that this is a scam, I want confirmation as well as to ensure the public is aware of the most recent scam.
