What Lures Affiliates to Affiliate Networks

Merchants or advertisers are forever on the lookout for publishers to promote their products or services. Online affiliate networks serve as the ideal platforms for these two entities to come together and work towards profit-making. By signing up for such a network, you will have the leisure of choosing from scores of affluent affiliates who have the knack of raking in the moolah.

Advertisers get into these networks to make more money and sell their products. But, what is it that lures an affiliate into a network... After all, their work is to sell someone else's brand! There are numerous reasons that make affiliates get into this service. A few of them are listed below:

1) An affiliate has the option of choosing from thousands of products and services offered by a plethora of merchants advertising on their network. This way, they can exercise their option as per their preferences and strengths. In an affiliate marketing network, affiliates get exposure to banner rotations – working for multiple advertisers on multiple offers and for multiple sources of revenue. In fact, they have the whole advertising business under one umbrella network.

2) As an affiliate working for ten different merchants, it can be difficult for you to track all campaigns, reports and sales figures, et al. Also, it will not be convenient for you to keep in touch with all the advertisers and report to them on a daily basis. In a network, the only entity you report to is the network itself. Rather than worrying about forging relationships, they can focus energies on brand promotion. The network will work as the 'relationship manager', working towards creating a feasible work environment. The network also serves as a training ground for affiliates to enhance their skills, learn and grow in the business.

3) In an affiliate network, affiliates do not endure the risk of delayed or non payments and thus feel more protected. This is because the network takes care of their commissions, ensuring that merchants treat them fairly and evenly.

Apart from all the aforementioned points, joining a network is beneficial for affiliates because of the convenient tractability associated with them. Despite working for ten different kind of merchants, they can easily use tracking tools to measure their success on the network.
