As Good As New Complex

As the body ages, this leads to a lot of important demographic and economic implications. Aging is a biological process which has molecular bases; some of these are increases in chromosomal structural abnormalities, DNA cross-linking, frequency of single strand breaks, a decline in DNA methylation and loss of DNA telomeric sequences.

In protein synthesis, there is increased post-translational changes, deamination, oxidation, cross-linking and non-enzymatic glycation. There are two theories of aging—one is genetic and the other is the random damage theory. The random damage theory states that the balance between ongoing damage and repair is disrupted. There is increased damage by free radicals, oxidation and glycation and deficient repair.

Studies have lead to the discovery of important principles of aging such as: (1). individuals become more dissimilar as they age, (2) an abrupt decline in any system or function is always due to disease and not to “normal aging, (3). Aging is increased by factors such as hypertension, smoking, and (4). healthy old age is not an oxymoron.

Thus to delay body aging, there is a need to control/ prevent diseases or risk factors such as liver diseases/hepatitis, kidney diseases, cancer, hypertension, dyslipidemia and diabetes.

Thus dietary inadequacies should be corrected as early as possible to delay aging. Supplementation is needed to prevent the onset of risk factors. Blood pressure should be controlled. Cardiovascular conditioning, glucose homeostasis and functional status should be enhanced. Toxicities should be prevented and toxins eliminated as possible. Digestion should be regulated.

PSC Plant Stem Cells Nutrition, based on its numerous studies done, has formulated As Good as New Complex, a daily nutritional supplement designed for adults with risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, cancer, malnutrition, liver disease and kidney disease. It may also be used by people who live a stressfull lifestyle who want to combat and delay aging as soon as possible. In the US and Canada, As Good as New Complex is exclusively distributed by PSC Distribution LLC, through their website http://plantstemcells.net.

As Good as New Complex contains Betula (Birch sap) and Aesculus Hippocastum (Horse Chestnut) buds which contain saponins that encourage the growth of normal intestinal flora by binding with bile salts and cholesterol in the intestinal tract. This leads to micelle formation which facilitate cholesterol and toxin excretion. Studies have also shown its anti-carcinogenic potential.

The complex also contains Taraxacum officionale (Dandelion), Alnus Glutinosa (European Alder) buds, Junipus Communis (Juniper) young shoots, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) young shoots, Secale Cereale (Rye) rootlets and Malus Sylvestris (Crab Apple buds).

A study made by Eun Mi Jua et al (2003) showed that Betula platyphylla exhibited potential antioxidant and anticancer properties, by noting that treatment with B. platyphylla extract induced cytotoxicity and apoptosis in damaged and cultured cancer cells in vitro.   Another study by Zhou et al (2009) showed that escin, a mixture of triterpene saponins extracted from Aesculus Wilsonii (Horse Chestnut) induces cell cycle checkpoint arrest and caspase-independent cell death in tumor cells, in support of its efficacious potential as a chemopreventive agent. In 2007, a study by Fujimura et al showed that an extract of horse chestnuts can generate contraction forces in fibroblasts and is a potent anti-aging ingredient. Another study by Hu (2004) showed that escins in Horse Chestnut may actually have an anti-obesity effect by a delay in the intestinal absorption of dietary fat through inhibition of pancreatic lipase activity.

A study made by Chun et al in British Columbia (2004) showed that dandelion exhibited potential antioxidant activity by suppression of both inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) protein expression.

Lim et al (2002) has concluded in their study that quercetin, naringenin, taxifolin, aromadendrin and isoquercitrin which were isolated from Juniper plants act as free radical scavengers and antioxidants. Furthermore, terpenes from Juniper was described by Wang et al (2002) to exhibit antitumor activities.

Kalncnik et al (2009) have studied that antioxidant activity of rosemary extracts.

Kahlon and Smith (2007) has demonstrated the activity of certain berries and Malus Sylvestra (Crab apple in binding with bile acids and having anti-oxidant activity.

As Good an New Complex is surely a new way to begin your day
