Bronchitis Asthma Home Remedies

A chronic inflammatory condition of the respiratory tract is called bronchitis asthma. When the air passage is inflamed, the quantity of breathing air will be reduced and as a result symptoms such as wheezing, breathing difficulty, cough and chest tightness will occur. Also the affected person will have frequent occurrence of running nose and other bronchial infections.

People of all age groups can have asthma. However, children are more vulnerable. Heredity, premature birth, Caesarean, low weight at the time of birth, unhygienic surroundings, exposure to tobacco smoke, allergies, eczema, atopic dermatitis etc will cause asthma in children.

Air pollution and smoking are two main reasons for asthmatic attack in elders. Indoor air pollution is caused by fumes of cleaners and paints, nitrogen oxide from gas stove, dust mite, fungi and cockroaches. External air pollution is due to sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, ozone, cold weather, high humidity etc.

Symptoms of bronchitis asthma will go worse during night, cold weather, exposure to allergens and exercise.

Bronchitis asthma can be diagnosed by doctors with the help of medical history of whole family, by checking running nose and swollen air passage and other physical tests of breathing using stethoscope and spirometer.

Bronchitis asthma is a killer disease. A person diagnosed for bronchitis asthma should take proper treatment at the beginning itself so that further complications can be prevented.

Take a few leaves of Holy Basil (Tulsi) and grind the same into a paste. Take 20 ml of the paste and mix with 13 ml of pure honey taken from hives of small honeybees. By taking the mixture daily bronchitis asthma can be cured.

When you have wheezing put a few Tulsi leaves in your outh after sprinkling a little black salt on the leaves. By chewing the leaves, you will get immediate relief.

Eat a few roasted grams and a glass of milk daily night before going to sleep. It will prevent asthmatic attack.

Grind a piece of old turmeric to a fine powder. Mix one table spoon of the powder with two tablespoons of old honey. By eating the mixture daily bronchitis asthma will be subsided.

As part of home treatment to cure bronchitis asthma, the following precautions also may be taken:

Avoid use of perfumes

Avoid the food items that will trigger asthma

Keep your bed room free of allergens and dust

Change the filter of air conditioner periodically

Cover your mouth and nose with a scar during cool climate
