There are many reasons that people gain weight and hold onto it. Some are a result of glandular malfunctions. For example, a thyroid gland that does not produce enough thyroxin results in a person being overweight. Some people with diabetes are also overweight as well.Some of the reasons that people hold onto weight are a result of post traumatic stress disorder. The weight acts like a wall of protection for these people to protect them from further sexual abuse. It is not important how or why you got the weight, hypnosis can help.
When you interview with your hypnotherapist, you will be able to understand the barriers that get in the way of a skinny you. It does not matter what the barrier is, once it is identified, it can be removed.
I had a female client who had to fight at the table as a child in order to get her fair share. She often went to bed hungry. She felt that any kind of food deprivation was taking her back to her childhood of hunger. She also had an under active thyroid gland. Both of these conditions were barriers getting in her way of losing the weight.
She reported that she would not speak to her husband for days if he took the last brownie. She felt cheated and felt as though she needed the brownie. She was embarrassed to leave her home because of her excess weight. She felt depressed and anxious and spoke of herself as a failure.
I discussed the fact that her problems were able to be solved. Her subconscious mind had the potential to free her from the cycle of depression and anxiety that came when thiniking of herself as a failure. She relaxed easily during the session. She felt good and felt empowered.Her body’s metabolism responded and she lost the weight.
Her self image improved.She went out more often and enjoyed her new freedom. She began to see herself as a success. She just had tried many ways to lose weight that did not work for her. Now, she learned from these experiences and found a way that promoted her success. She reported that she smiled more and friends and family enjoyed being around her. She was an inspiration to everyone that she met.
Your subconscious mind regulates bodily functions. You breathe and your heart beats without your effort. Youu can do your work and the body does its work for you. You know that your body will continue to work and you can do your work without thinking about if your heart needs to beat. When people are hypnotized, they can learn to program their subconscious mind to work better. For instance, high blood pressure responds well to suggestion. Your subconscious mind is your willing servant. With proper programming, it will help you to reach your weight loss goals. You will be free of the burden of the excess weight and happier. Life will seem more enjoyable and you will see yourself as a success.
