High Uric Acid - What to Do With Gout?

You must understand there are 2 separate stages for treating gout. The first one is the treatment for the inflamed swollen toes during the attack. The second stage is the long term continuous treatment to reduce the uric acid levels in your body in order to prevent any future attacks.

If you are suffering from the painful attack now, you have to take pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen to reduce the pain and swelling of the affected zones. Drinking too much of water at this stage will not help to speed up the healing. On the contrary, that will only flush out the drugs you have taken before it has the chance to work on the swollen toes. Normally, the gouty inflammation will go away after a week or so.

After the painful attack subside, you must pay more attention on how to prevent future gout attacks by lowering down the uric acid levels in your body. Thus, you must first go for a blood test to know the uric acid level reading in your blood now as a point of reference. It is possible that your blood uric acid level is just slightly above the healthy range even though you are suffering from the gout attack. This is because blood test can only indicate the uric acid level in the blood, not the urate crystals that already formed within your toe joints.

The only way to find out the amount of uric acid crystals in your joints is through Arthroscopy or X-Ray. Well, don't waste your time and insurance coverage to go for those risky procedures just to take a look at the cute tiny crystals in the joints. If you have had gout, it is confirmed that the tiny urate crystals are inside the joints. And you must know that those crystals still remain there even though your gouty inflammation has subsided.

There is not surgical procedure available to remove those fine needle-like crystals in the joints. The only effective way is to melt them away. This is the stage when you need to drink a lot of water. In another words, you must drink at least 3 liters of water everyday to help flush out the hidden uric acid.

There are ways to improve the effectiveness of the water flushing process. One is to soak your feet in hot warm water for about 15 minutes 1 or 2 times a day to help melt away those urate crystals and improve the upward blood circulation from your feet.

Another thing you should consider is to install an Alkaline Water Ionizer to turn your daily drinking water to highly alkaline which will definitely speed up the neutralization process. You will be surprised by the result after 2 or 3 weeks. Not only your chance of getting gout attacks will be greatly reduced, you will feel your body is much lighter and more energetic as well.

I have seen hundreds of gout patients successfully get out from the painful misery just by practicing what I just mentioned. You don't have to depend on those drugs anymore!

Conventional medical approach will never find the cure for Gout because they are not dealing with The Root Cause of Gout which is high uric acid. Find out the shocking ugly truth of our modern healthcare industry and the alternative solution for Gout at => www.truthofgout.com.
