Yeast infections are caused by a fungus usually called by name candida albicans and are mostly common in women of childbearing age but can occur at any age . They are primarily caused by an overgrowth of yeast that is often present in low numbers in the vagina. Yeast infection that grows quickly, taking over the normal bacteria found within the vagina.

Symptoms of yeast infection

Yeast Infection symptoms may differ from one person to another, this includes burning feeling or non end itching around vaginal areas, painful urination, pain during sexual intercourse, vaginal discharge that appears like cottage cheese and smells like bread or beer.

Below are some of the Home Remedies for Yeast Infection which are usually recommended by users:

1) Put apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball or clean piece of cloth, and applying to areas affected by the yeast infection. This remedy is very effective and like by most of the users.

2) Mix olive leaf extract with grapefruit seed extraction in a glass of water. It is a good tonic for this infection.

3) Make a mixture of 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 cup of water and use this mixture as a douche once in a day until itching comes to end. This Home Remedy for Yeast Infection is suggested by many users.

4) Apply baby oil with aloe and vitamin E to soothe the irritation.

5) Make a solution with 2 tablespoons of vinegar (apple cider or white) per quart of water. Use this as a douche each day to heal a mild infection. You may also use the juice of half of a lemon as an alternative of vinegar.

6) Curds and yogurt are foods recognized to be the most effective Home Remedy for Yeast Infection. Soak a tampon into curds and put it in the infected areas for at least an hour. The bacteria present in the curds will replace the harmful yeast bacteria. This could be done thrice in a day.

7) Buttermilk builds up the resistance against yeast infection. Drink at least one glass of buttermilk daily in this condition.
