So, how does hypnosis work? Throughout this article I hope to give you a simple explanation of the effects hypnosis has on your brain. Who knows, maybe it could help you too!

Hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind, the most powerful aspect of your brain. Hypnosis helps you make desirable, lasting changes in your life by reprogramming your thought patterns and habits.

Contrary to popular beliefs, you are not unconscious when in a hypnotic state. Hypnosis is a natural state of the mind that is between the aware state and sleep. Have you ever driven along a route you use regularly and without realising, your mind wanders and you arrive at your destination without being conscious of every turn you made? Well this is similar to the hypnotic state.

Hypnosis communicates with your subconscious mind which accounts for 90% of the brain. This is the part of your brain that stores all memory and where habits are established. The subconscious mind sees in pictures, so the more detailed your picture is of your end goal, the faster your subconscious mind will create the new idea and then your conscious level of thinking automatically accepts it.

Hypnosis is completely relaxing and you are aware and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis gives you freedom of choice, helping you connect with your subconscious mind, and puts YOU in control, something you probably haven't had in years!

So, how does hypnosis work? Well, the majority of people see hypnosis as a last resort to quitting smoking or losing weight. But hypnosis is actually, a dynamic and vital healing process in all aspects of mental health care. Hypnosis focuses on finding the origin of a person’s issues. Through the process of hypnosis the unconscious mind goes to the original cause, which in turn allows the person and hypnotherapist to work through the feelings around the cause. These feelings can then be healed and allow people to live their life as they want.

Hypnosis can give you an opportunity for spiritual awakening, enabling you to achieve personal and professional growth, thus, healing the Mind, Body, Spirit.

In a recent study, a health magazine reported the following findings:

Psychoanalysis: after 600 sessions 38% made a recovery.

Behavior Therapy: after 22 sessions 72% made a recovery.

Hypnotherapy: after 6 sessions 93% made a recovery.

As this study clearly shows, Hypnosis is more effective and requires less time to achieve its goal than traditional behaviour therapy or psychoanalysis.

In a hypnotic state, you are more receptive to new ideas and you can more effectively process the emotions linked to experiences, which created the pain, the fear, the sadness, the anger, the guilt, the shame, the humiliation and the low self-esteem in the first place. Thus enabling you regain control of your life.

Well, have I answered your question; how does hypnosis work?

Why won't she believe I'm sincere?
By: MeeKail | 08-09-2007
My best friend in the world is a Lady, who met me on her way to work oneday and changed my life forever. It had been so many years since I had an intimate relationship, I'm embarsed to say, but it was in the eighties. It left me feeling like I'd never have one again unless, I met someone that almost that was true. For 3 years I withheld my emotions. When I opened up to her she closed up to me, told me I imagined all the beautiful things she told me, became paranoid, sent me to shrinks, rehabs, ect. with what I thought was an understanding, if I became Mr. perfect we'd live happily ever after. She didn't talk to me for almost three years. A couple months ago we started back talking; little baby shots. Do you think if I quit leaving her so many messages, she mightleave me one?

By: Suzie Smith | 15/08/2007 | Music
If you don't know anyone who owns a guitar or is not keen on lending you theirs, then you could rent one. Most music stores rent out guitars on a monthly basis, so you can try it out without being committed to a purchase, then after a trial rental period, you can return the instrument without worry. Music stores will also be able to help you with lessons, some may offer them themselves or if they don't, they should certainly be able to put you in touch with a tutor.

Buying a Used Guitar
By: Suzie Smith | 15/08/2007 | Music
Make sure you do plenty of research before you make your decision. Don't rush into buying the first used guitar you see just because its 'on sale', the 'last one', etc. There are usually plenty of used guitars for sale at very reasonable prices. Factory Seconds can offer great deals on recent models. You can also find some great deals on websites like Ebay. Look for sellers who have sold guitars before and have positive feedbacks. There are also some good bargains to be had from your local pawnshop. You could also do a “google” search on the Internet to find a used guitar, whether you are looking for your first ever guitar or a new top of the range guitar, if you have a favourite brand of guitar this will open up lots of opportunities for you. You can also find some very expensive, rare, antique used guitars up for sale.
