How to Prevent A Flu

There is no real time-frame to start protecting against the flu. It is really a year-around approach to keeping yourself healthy. Most people don't know how to prevent a flu or go about protecting themselves. They may want to do something about protecting themselves, yet they don't know where to start.

There are ways to naturally prevent sickness and within a reasonable budget. If a person were to follow the simple steps below, they will find themselves better prepared for the cold and flu season.

Food

You have probably read a lot of articles about food and the benefits of eating vegetables. Yet have you put all that information into play? Have you taken the steps to add vegetables to your lunch and dinner? Like many of my readers you are probably guilty or not implementing more vegetables into your diet. I can understand that, it does take time to shop for them and then prepare them. A lot of people do not have time for all that. But I do hope at some point you do start to work them into your plans. Not only do they help your immune system, they also defend against a number other diseases.

Now that we have addressed food, let me talk about an easier way to do protect against the flu. It will take you less than a minute to do and will give you the same amount of protection as stuffing yourself with vegetables.

Vitamins and Supplements

Vitamin D is one of the most potent and aggressive vitamin against the flu and cold. It super-charges the T cells and allows the body to put up a very strong defense against a virus. in over sixty-four studies, Vitamin D is over 47% more effective than the flu shot. The study conducted used a dosage of 1200 IUs of vitamin D over a four-month period. Other results showed patients with asthma experiencing less attacks compared to the group that took the placebo.

These studies lasted only four-month study. If four months can do this for a group of people, image the results if a person were to incorporate an immune boosting vitamin to their daily supplements? A person could either reduce or completely stop the flu from entering their body.

Sunlight

To get a natural dose of 20,000 IUs of Vitamin D, stay out in the sun for 20 to 30 minutes. The body will store the vitamin D and use it when needed. A twenty to thirty minute walk every day can improve your health. Yet for those that have little time or can't get out, adding supplements is a good substitute for what the body needs.
