Its so easy to fool yourself when you are looking in the mirror. For some reason most people see themselves as five to ten years younger when they look at their faces in the mirror. It isn't until they look at a picture of themselves that the reality of their situation sinks home.
For some reason a picture seems to tell the real truth and age does seem to show through. Fortunately, new research into the actual aging process of the skin has led to some surprising breakthroughs in skin treatments and anti aging products. In years past, skin and wrinkle treatments were mostly composed of oils such as lanolin that were designed to make the skin and the person using the product feel better.
The fact is, that now there are products available that while they can't repair your damaged skin, they can help your skin to reproduce the processes that young skin uses to look young. For instance, as we age, our skin will begin to develop dark spots where pigment has gathered in blotches. This is because, our skin has lost the ability to rid itself of pigment in those areas.
