Lowering Triglycerides Levels In Your Body Helps in Avoiding Coronary Heart Disease

Posted: Sep 20, 2009 |

Lowering triglycerides levels in your body is essential to your health. It is important to do it since it lowers your risk of having coronary heart disease or a stroke.
Triglycerides are a type of fat stored in your fat cells. They provide you with energy.

Each time you eat, the calories that you do not use right away are converted into triglycerides.

When excess triglycerides remain in your blood stream, that's when you start having problems.

Here's why:

They thicken your blood

They contribute to hardening of your arteries

They increase your risk of coronary artery disease

They also increase your risk of having a stroke

A blood test can determine whether you are within the healthy range or not

Less than 150 mg/dl - normal range

150 - 199 mg/dl - borderline high

200 - 499 mg/dl - high

500 mg/dl - very high

Take note though, that high triglycerides levels can be a sign of undiagnosed diabetes, kidney or liver disease. It could also mean that they are a side effect of beta blockers, birth control pills, diuretics or of steroids.

The difference between triglycerides and cholesterol:

Triglycerides give you energy while cholesterol builds your cells and hormones

Both of them cannot dissolve in blood

Both travel all over your body with the help of lipoproteins

The best thing you can do is make a lifestyle change

Limit your cholesterol - take it easy on that cheeseburger or that yummy-looking cake

Limit your carbohydrate intake

Be conscious of your calorie intake

Stay away from trans fats

Stay away from alcoholic drinks

Exercise regularly - go ahead, take that 30-minute walk daily

Get rid of excess weight

Aside from the above, do a periodic arterial cleansing. It would be in your best interest to do it with the supervision of your doctor.

First off, you have to flush out the body toxins in your tissues.

Aloe vera gel is highly effective in cleansing your system. This is because it contains saponin which is an emulsifier.

The saponin sweeps away the toxins that clog the inside walls of your small intestines.
This now paves the way for the small intestines to absorb the fish oil into the bloodstream.

For best results, drink 20 ml or 1/4 glass of aloe gel 3x a day, preferably on an empty stomach.
Note: Do not drink aloe vera gel if you are pregnant

Fish oil capsules dissolve arterial plaque and lower your triglycerides levels. The omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil reduce the clotting ability of platelets, and therefore reduce your chances of having a heart attack or a stroke.

Take 1 softgel 3x a day after each meal.

So, there you are. Aloe vera gel and fish oil can help in lowering triglycerides levels in your bloodstream.
