Tinnitus is hearing of certain phantom noises in the ear in absence of any corresponding noise outside.

Causes of Tinnitus
There are four important parts of the ear where tinnitus can be caused; the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear and the brain. Tinnitus can arise in any of these sections. Some tinnitus is normal and we are usually unaware of such normal body sounds, because the outside noise masks them. Any foreign body like wax in the external ear will block the background sounds making you aware of your own head sounds. Fluid, infection or disease of the middle ear bones or ear drum may cause tinnitus.

The major cause of tinnitus is the damage of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. This is generally found in the old age people and the people who are commonly exposed loud noise. Symptoms of Tinnitus
Tinnitus engrosses the annoying sensation of hearing sound. Its symptoms include:

  1. Ringing
  2. Buzzing
  3. Roaring
  4. Clicking
  5. Whistling
  6. Hissing

The range of above mentioned noises may vary from low to a high squeal. You may get it in both the ears. Sometimes the noise is so louder that interrupts your concentration. Tinnitus can be present all the time or may arise at indefinite intervals. There are generally two types of tinnitus; subjective and objective tinnitus. Subjective tinnitus is a common type caused due to problems in your outer, middle or inner ear. Where objective tinnitus is a rare type caused by damage to blood vessel, inner ear bone or any muscle.

Treatments for Tinnitus
Unfortunately, there are no such medications available that can cure your tinnitus permanently. But there are certain natural remedies available for all kinds of tinnitus.

  1. Avoid listening to loud music or factorial noises.
  2. Choose on proper sleeping patterns and healthy diet. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, etc in your diet plans.
  3. Practice breathing techniques and meditations.
